Echoing the beauty of the colors in the majestic face of the Bellvue Fold, the Historic Flowers House provides the perfect, tranquil setting for a romantic ceremony or special event. Located just west of Ft. Collins, Colorado, in Bellvue in the scenic valley of the Cache la Poudre River above the little French-Italian Village of LaPorte, this historic 1880 home is nestled on 3 acres of impressive grounds featuring magnificent grand old willow trees and perennial gardens. The breathtaking view of the Bellvue Dome and the Rocky Mountains provide the perfect country backdrop for your special day. Built by Bellvue, Colorado town founder Jacob Flowers, the 1880 house is associated with the settlement of Bellvue in the late nineteenth century. Flowers's choice of "Bell Vue," French for "beautiful view," was certainly appropriate for his little town, which still retains its charm and beauty today. The Historic Flowers House is one of the earliest houses in the Bellvue / Ft. Collins, Colorado area, built in the hopes of encouraging the establishment of a permanent community in the fertile valley. The vernacular building with Late Victorian/ Italianate elements was erected by local stonemasons using red and pink sandstone quarried locally. The Historic Flowers House is listed on the National Historic Register and has been owned by the Jackson-Tetly family since 1927.
